Daniel Burns / Tucson, Arizona

AI, automation
& business
systems.

I’m Daniel Burns. I build and test practical tools for business owners and teams. Here’s the work, my part in it, and what you can inspect.

The way I work

I scope the job with you, build the system, and leave instructions for using it.

Portfolio / 3 projects

Selected projects

My own products, internal tools, and recorded demonstrations. Each one shows what I made and what you can check.

1 / Main Street ScoreboardIndependent product

Website assessment + software

Main Street
Scoreboard.

A website assessment service I built for small businesses. Owners can request a free assessment, read the findings in a private report, and decide whether they want help with the fixes.

My role
Research, product direction, build & verification
The work
Website checks, readable reports, email delivery and practical guides.

What this project does and doesn’t measure

The assessment checks public website and business signals at a point in time. The report explains what was checked and suggests next steps. It does not predict rankings, measure sales lost, or guarantee new customers. Read the method.

2 / One Nervous SystemPersonal internal tool

AI operations + internal software

One Nervous
System.

A workspace for my AI tools, project knowledge, and ongoing tasks. Built around a simple need: keep the context together and keep a person in charge.

My role
Concept, direction, workflow design & testing
The work
Claude and Codex built the software under my direction.

Behind the build

I directed the build, tested the workflows, and used AI-generated artwork for the visual map. This screenshot documents a personal system during development. It is not a client deployment. Private names and demonstration figures are masked.

3 / Customer inquiry workflowRecorded demonstration

Practical AI + human review

Customer inquiry
workflow.

A pest-control inquiry arrives with several questions at once. This recorded test follows it from inbox delivery to an AI summary and a reply for the owner to review.

My role
Workflow design, prompt & delivery check
The boundary
Fictional customer. Real test. The owner reviews and sends.
See the prompt and test steps

1 / The fictional inquiry

“We keep seeing small bugs around the kitchen, mostly at night. We’re in Tucson and have a dog and a toddler. Can someone come Friday, and what would it cost?”
2 / Selected facts from the AI summary
Location
Tucson. Address unknown.
Household
A dog and a toddler.
Friday
A request, not a booking.
Pest type
Unknown.
Recorded test / September 23, 2026 / Summary shortened for display
See the evidence and limits

The test message reached an inbox, then Claude produced a summary and reply. This demonstration did not build automatic drafting or sending. Open the captured receipt or read the prompt and test steps.

A closer look at
50 local businesses

I audited 50 local businesses and documented the gaps in their public online presence. The original report keeps the scope and evidence open to inspection.

The person behind the work

16 years
in operations

My background on LinkedIn

I’ve spent 16 years in operations. My habit is to understand how a job actually gets done, find the part that needs attention, and leave clear instructions for the next person.

That’s how I approach AI. Some jobs need an AI assistant. Others need ordinary automation or a better handoff. The work decides the tool.

I run this agency myself, from Tucson, Arizona. When you work with me, I’m the person responsible for what gets built.
